PROJECT HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT POLICY

The health, safety and welfare of all personnel involved in Project, whether employed directly by company or as subcontractors, the preservation of the environment and the protection of the assets rank equally with the other business objectives of PT Saipem Indonesia,

Company is totally committed to perform the Project work in a safe and efficient manner, and has set the following goals:

• No fatalities
• No harm to people
• No damage to the environment

To achieve this commitment and to enable fulfilment of this Policy Company will:

• Provide continuous leadership and demonstrate committed support by all levels of management
• Ensure the Project HSE Objectives are consistent with this Policy
• Implement the HSE Management System that defines responsibility and accountability for HSE performance
• Comply with the requirements of related legislation, regulations and codes of practice
• Minimise any significant adverse environmental impacts of activities, processes and services through the use of integrated environmental management plans and procedures
• Committed towards the sustainability network development through environmental protection and
• Provide adequate resources and training to all levels of personnel involved in the Project to enable them to fulfil their responsibilities and meet the Project HSE Objectives
• Recruit competent personnel with appropriate qualification skills and experiences
• Create positive perceptions of HSE, raise HSE Awareness on the Project and obtain feedback on Health, related issues and concerns;
• To fulfil all actions arising from the Health, Safety and Environmental impacts and to monitor potential impacts during the installation of the pipelines;
• To delegate the Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities through the Subcontractor/Supplier chain;
• To provide continuous monitoring of the Health, Safety and Environmental performance and associated indicators throughout the Project.

The effectiveness of the Project Health, Safety and Environment Management System being consistent with this Policy will be subject to continual review and improvement. CONTRACTOR’s commitment is to demonstrate by the establishment, and with continual improvement of the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System and processes, and the provision of adequate human, financial and management resources to ensure that this Policy is achieved.
